The front entry, lobby and lobby bar at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes has been redefined for greater authentic luxury.

Inspired by sun-drenched Italian villas and the feel of the French Riviera, LEO A DALY designers cleverly distilled feature elements and materials to create the light, airy feel of a villa sun room. Awning-style windows allow natural light and breezes to permeate the lobby and expanded bar. High-contrast fabrics of blues and marigolds with bold stripes adorn elegant new seating arrangements. Rich travertine floors give the space a sense of opulence. Illuminated three-dimensional marble mosaics clad the bar with open-glass, suspended shelving sparkling above. The new design respects the spirit of the Grande Lakes area of Orlando.

The front desk incorporates a contemporary lantern design as a backdrop, complemented by a folded metal design on the face of the desks. Classic arched openings and stone clad walls with decorative lit elements bring lighting down to human scale.

The new Modern Market visually reflects its mostly organic products. Guests explore special vignettes for a souvenir, beverage or snack. The existing pool bar was redesigned to give it a Key West vibe. Bright colors evoke the casual elegance of a relaxed retreat.

As part of the renovation, Fairways Restaurant at the golf club has also been transformed into a modern tap room that gives glimpses into the past. The taproom features a wall mural depicting the brewing process, copper accents throughout and a multitude of local beers on tap.
