LEO A DALY provided site evaluation, master planning, facility programming, estimating, and design services for the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, including a new fire station supporting fire, EMS, and emergency management operations. The facility includes seven apparatus bays, offices, training and conference spaces, dorm rooms, open work areas, and support spaces for first responders.
LEO A DALY collaborated with the Tribe’s fire department, EMS, medical transport services, and community healthcare resources to develop a shared program that unites essential emergency services under one roof, creates synergies, and provides the community with resilient, adaptive facilities. The final site selection is central to the community and met their response times; is near the hospital for convenience of EMS services; and is large enough to meet the community’s needs for 40+ year lifespan. This facility unites EMS and Medical Transport Services with the fire department, greatly enhancing each of the services provided to the community.
The combination of services and new facilities will serve as the backbone for new recruitment efforts for each department for years to come.
