Police & Fire

We design safe and secure facilities that promote first responder readiness and well-being.

First responders and public safety officers spend a great deal of their time in the station: training, planning, recovering, and living alongside one another through long shifts. A law enforcement or fire facility has to work as a rapid-response machine, a secure operations center, a training ground, and a second home, often all at once. Our architects and engineers balance response efficiency, resilience, safety, and security with the human needs of the people inside.

We create environments for collaboration and focus, fitness and rest, and privacy and decompression, because responders carry different demands before, during, and after a critical incident. Natural light, access to the outdoors, acoustic control, and healthy indoor environments aren't amenities - they're investments in readiness, wellness, and long careers.

With more than 200 first responder facilities designed, including police stations, fire stations, firefighter and officer training centers, and memorials honoring those who served, we understand what these buildings must do for the people who protect our communities, and for the communities they serve.
