The University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Infectious Diseases Air Transport (IDAT) Training Facility is a first-of-its-kind education and simulation center designed to strengthen national readiness for infectious disease response. Located on UNMC’s Omaha campus, the facility brings together classrooms, simulation spaces, near-patient care training environments and operational support areas under one roof. Flexible infrastructure allows spaces to adapt as training needs evolve, supporting future conversion of classrooms, offices and simulator areas while maximizing long-term value for the institution.
