Needs Assessment and Renovation
LEO A DALY partnered with the Dakota County Library system to complete a comprehensive assessment of its 10 libraries, establishing priorities for renewal and strategic growth across the system. The assessment identified opportunities to expand technology and community spaces while enhancing library programs and services for current and future needs.
The West St. Paul Library renovation was the first project completed as a result of this effort. The design improves sightlines for staff, supports self-service hours, renews staff work areas, and creates more engaging spaces for patrons. A playful children’s area encourages discovery and interaction, while adult reading areas take advantage of the library’s expansive views to create comfortable spaces for reading and gathering.
