Georgia Gwinnett College, one of the fastest growing campuses in the Georgia Board of Regents University System, awarded LEO A DALY the task of programming and designing a 90,883-GSF, four-story library that transformed the campus creating a new campus ‘living room’ for social engagement. The library is located in the heart of the campus, framing the central quadrangle.

Among other functions and services traditionally provided by a college library, the project also consists of a high-tech information common, small group study rooms, distance learning, video conference rooms, stacks for 400,000 volumes, a faculty teaching/learning center, and a student success center.

The library design will serve as a guide for all architectural and site design criteria for future campus buildings. We also developed a 20-year, campus-wide utilities infrastructure master plan.

This project was designed applying sustainable design principles and has received LEED Gold certification.
