The new Phase II P426 facility provides the ashore component of the administrative functions for deployed and in-port Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) as well as a portion of the training component to support the newest Navy platform to be stationed at Naval Station (NAVSTA) Mayport, Florida. The new four-story, 123,031-SF building includes work spaces, offices, conference rooms, 24-hour manned operations watch floor, dedicated Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) for open storage, Special Access Program Area (SAP) spaces, reference library, storage, videoconference rooms, a 500-seat multipurpose meeting room, an Armory, and a crew lounge. The building is organized using “Security in Depth” principles to separate secure spaces from non-secure areas. It also includes dedicated SIPRNet access at individual offices and workstations.
The project is designed to be in full compliance with UFC 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements. Third Party Certification required by UFC 1-200-02 for projects of this size will be achieved through GBCI Guiding Principles Assessment. Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) features are included in accordance with UFC 4-010-01, DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings. It is designed to resist progressive collapse in accordance with UFC 4-023-03, Design of Buildings to Resist Progressive Collapse.
