“Designers must continue to evolve using inspiration from fashion and product design to help the creative mind evolve from business as usual. I think pulling hyper-local arts and culture are more important now than ever. Authenticity is expected and the idea of a contrived composition no longer validates a sense of place. We strive to create something original and timeless in all we do that ultimately gives our owners a better ROI and NOI. We always think of their money like it’s our money. I also think sustainability and innovation with respect to the same is top of mind for most travelers. People want to protect Mother Earth and our value on projects and ownership that share these values.”

“Renovations have touched every corner of the property, with new villas designed to weave together the textures, colours and materials of the Texas landscape. Design elements inspired by indigenous Texas flora and fauna include cool, crisp blues that reflect the opulence of Texas Topaz and the bountiful surrounding lakes, and porcelain tile that nods to the earthy tones of sage and cactus. Touches of leather in warm brown and amber tones evoke the nostalgia of the property’s past as a ranch, with stitching details reminiscent of saddle craftsmanship.”

OneWorld Community Health breaks ground on new Career and Training Center
LEO A DALY provides sustainable design solutions for community empowerment

LEO A DALY is excited to announce the groundbreaking of the OneWorld Career and Training Center, a new mixed-use development for OneWorld Community Health Centers. This 30,000 square foot, three-story facility will provide essential services including childcare, healthcare workforce training, and outpatient behavioral health.
A key highlight of this project is its commitment to sustainability. LEO A DALY’s experienced and integrated design team has incorporated innovative and environmentally friendly solutions to ensure the facility’s long-term efficiency and minimal environmental impact. The project will feature a geothermal system for economical and sustainable heating and cooling, significantly reducing utility bills and maintenance costs for the non-profit organization. Additionally, the building is designed to accommodate photovoltaic panels, allowing for future investments in renewable energy that align with OneWorld’s environmental goals.

The first floor will feature a vibrant childcare center for infants through Pre-K, adorned with culturally significant artwork. This center will provide easy access to affordable childcare for staff and the surrounding community, supporting working families and fostering early childhood development.
The second floor will house a workforce training center for healthcare occupations, with mock clinic and dental exam rooms, training classrooms, and a testing center. This initiative demonstrates OneWorld’s commitment to professional development within the community, offering valuable training and career advancement opportunities.
The third floor will focus on outpatient behavioral health services, with therapy offices and administrative spaces. By addressing the growing demand for behavioral health services, this facility will provide essential support to individuals and families, promoting mental health and well-being in the community.

“We are thrilled to begin construction on this innovative and sustainable project,” said Sara Jansen, Project Manager. “It represents a significant step forward for OneWorld and the community, and we are proud to contribute to a project that prioritizes both community care and environmental responsibility.”
We are proud to collaborate with several esteemed partners on this project, including OneWorld Community Health Centers, Blair Freeman, Ronco Construction and Lamp Rynearson. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life, ensuring that the OneWorld Career and Training Center will be a state-of-the-art facility that meets the needs of the community.
The new OneWorld Career and Training Center is anticipated to open September 2026.
