Kim Cowman receives ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award 

Director of Engineering Kim Cowman is recognized for distinguished service to ASHRAE and sustained leadership advancing the HVAC&R profession.

LEO A DALY’s Kim Cowman, national director of engineering, has received the Distinguished Service Award from ASHRAE. This honor recognizes members who have served the Society faithfully and with distinction, contributing significant time, expertise, and leadership to advance the profession. 

With more than two decades of experience in high-performance building design, Kim has been a dedicated contributor to ASHRAE throughout her career, including serving as president of the Nebraska chapter and supporting national initiatives such as the HFDP Exam Sub-Committee. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to advancing technical excellence and collaboration across the HVAC&R industry. 

“I’ve always appreciated ASHRAE’s mission to serve humanity by advancing the arts and sciences of HVAC&R,” said Cowman. “Through my volunteer efforts, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with an incredible community of professionals dedicated to improving the built environment. I’m very honored to receive this recognition and look forward to continuing to learn from and contribute to the Society.”
