Phelps Memorial Health Center is a critical access hospital located in Holdrege, Nebraska. LEO A DALY provided full engineering services, along with architectural and commissioning services for multiple renovations to the existing hospital and medical office buildings.
The project includes the renovation of approximately 13,500 SF for future clinic growth and additional services.
Renovation of the hospital imaging department includes a new Cath Lab, PET Scanner, and Stereographic Mammography Suite. The main office suite was remodeled to allow for better flow and more flexible conference space. The medical office building, known as The Plaza, was extensively remodeled on multiple clinics. Studies performed for location of a future linear accelerator.
The mechanical systems throughout the existing spaces was reviewed and replaced to meet the high standard of healthcare design. High airflow rates and enhanced airflow filtration was provided throughout the building to ensure a superior air quality for patients. Comfort, functionality and air quality were pillars of this design.
The electrical scope includes power, lighting, lighting controls and low-voltage systems to support the clinical renovation.
Our structural team investigated several locations for a future linear accelerator, as well as provide input and expertise in the renovated spaces.
