For Christ Fellowship Church, LEO A DALY transformed a two-story technology and special effects studio building into a welcoming, “living room”–style worship environment in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Designed to feel casual, engaging, and adaptable, the project was conceived as a phased redevelopment to support the church’s rapid growth.
Phase One reimagined existing office and studio spaces to meet immediate needs, creating children’s classrooms, youth worship areas, and a 550-seat temporary worship space. The interior design balances warmth and authenticity, featuring carpeted gathering rooms, polished concrete corridors, exposed concrete walls, and open ceilings with visible structure and acoustic treatments that celebrate the building’s original character.
A new north-facing entrance with a covered drop-off enhances visibility and arrival, seamlessly integrating with the building’s existing architectural language. Mechanical and lighting systems were upgraded to support increased occupancy while aligning with the updated design aesthetic and performance requirements.
Driven by overwhelming community response, Christ Fellowship quickly advanced Phase Two, adding a 25,000-square-foot expansion. The new worship auditorium accommodates 1,900 seats with floor-level and riser seating, a 1,300-square-foot platform, a centrally located control booth, and supporting restrooms below—providing a state-of-the-art space designed for long-term growth and connection.
