Timothy J. Duffy
Tim has more than 35 years of experience leading and contributing to design and construction projects for government and private clients in the United States and abroad. His expertise ranges from facilities assessments and master planning through programming, conceptual design and entitlements processes to construction documentation and administration.
Tim serves as chair of LEO A DALY’s Directors of Technical Services group. He is an expert in building performance and specializes in high-performance building enclosures. His understanding of building science has helped in leading design for recent high-profile projects such as the LEED Gold-Certified Heights Building, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport – North Terminal and the George Washington University, Corcoran School of Fine Arts.
Prior to joining LEO A DALY, Tim led architectural and engineering teams on laboratory, office and shared amenities facilities at the new FDA campus, NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Prediction and the District of Columbia’s new St. Elizabeth’s Psychiatric Hospital. Early in his career he worked in construction and construction management, including serving as the historic preservation superintendent for the Union Station Rehabilitation in the 1980s. He previously served as an historic preservation commissioner in Montgomery County, Maryland.
