ULI Washington’s Awards for Excellence Program is an annual event that celebrates projects and initiatives that have made outstanding contributions to development within the Mid-Atlantic region.
The independent jury recognized 20 Mass as a model for the future of sustainable redevelopment honoring the project’s innovation and creativity that inspires and activates the area steps away from Union Station in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
The entire project team is honored by the ULI Washington recognition for the adaptive reuse project that fosters growth and productivity while uniting lifestyle and community.
“20 Mass broadens the heart of the city connecting major neighborhoods in a swath previously lacking vitality,” celebrates Managing Principal Rauzia Ally. “Reaching broad goals for sustainable urbanism, it also highlights the soul of Washington, D.C. with reverent irreverent artwork in a world class hotel.”
The vibrancy of the public spaces, the mix of guests and local community at the street level restaurant, the completely booked conference spaces and Grand Ballroom for the next 3 years are a testament to a successfully implemented design vision.
