South Sioux City Marriott Riverfront

South Sioux City, Nebraska

With the goal of creating the best hotel in the market, the owner engaged LEO A DALY to convert this hotel from a Delta brand to a Marriott. The owner’s passion for design and service to the community resulted in a renovated property with striking design features and a welcoming atmosphere for locals and guests alike.

Located along the Missouri River, the flowing movement of the water and the natural surroundings provided inspiration for the design. Neutral tones are complemented by deep blues. Screens upon entry to the buffet include stylized water fowl cutouts, and crystal chandeliers add elegance to the ballroom.

LEO A DALY modernized the hotel’s classic steakhouse, opening the space to provide a variety of seating options to accommodate the all-day service and hotel guests, while maintaining the intimacy of fine dining for the evening. The design of Kahill’s Chophouse honors the unique history of the city with black and white photographs that evoke nostalgia, while taking advantage of the views of the Missouri Riverfront throughout the restaurant.

The project also included renovations to the guestrooms, meeting spaces, coffee bar, fitness facility as well as upgrades to the public areas to create the Marriott greatroom experience, remaining meeting rooms and a new M-Club.
