Nokia Latin American Headquarters
Nokia desired to relocate its Latin American Headquarters from Texas to Florida and worked with LEO A DALY to bring an interesting interior design approach to represent the Latin American countries it serves. With this thought in mind, designers created a “fire and ice” design concept that was carried throughout the 25,000-SF office space.
Upon entering the office, panes of frosted, edge-lit acrylic reinforce the ice metaphor, and bright orange and red hues serve as contrast throughout the space, alluding to South American tropical influences. Bright whites, warm wood tones and cool lighting alternately reference Scandinavian origins with Latin undertones.
Translucent glass walls in meeting rooms provide needed privacy as the Miami headquarters serves as a launch site for product roll outs. Modular office space with Scandinavian furniture accents provides work stations that become virtual on an as-needed basis.
