Conviva Pembroke Pines Clinic

The Conviva Care Center West Pines is a part of the Humana Care Delivery Organization serving southern Florida. Early on in the life of the project, team members from LEO A DALY visited several existing Conviva clinics and spoke with care providers to evaluate the current brand architectural and space standards and analyze their efficiency.

Designing spaces with the end-user in mind
Prior to the design phases for the Center’s full relocation and expansion project, LEO A DALY was tasked with performing a facility condition assessment on potential sites for the new clinic, which subsequently lead to our team working on the renovation of an existing retail space to an outpatient clinic. Clinical operations for this project specifically targeted the geriatric population, as this is the majority of the patient type seen here. During this collaboration with stakeholders, current workflows and the ideal future workflows were discussed. This feedback was then incorporated into the design of the transformed space.

Flexibility for the future
The space plan includes 8 exam rooms, 1 telehealth exam room, and 1 procedure room. The lobby features floor to ceiling windows and there are bulletin boards accessible with local information and resources for seniors. A public activity room was designed as a part of the center to be used for community classes and social events, or as additional waiting space for social distancing when necessary.
