Michael Huffstetler accepted to U.S. Coast Guard Industry Academy 2017 – 2018
The Academy is an in-depth, one-year program designed to strengthen industry collaboration and knowledge of the Coast Guard’s mission
LEO A DALY is proud to announce that Michael Huffstetler, Vice President and National Director of DHS Programs, has been accepted into the inaugural U.S. Coast Guard Industry Academy (2017-2018).
The Coast Guard Industry Academy is an unprecedented, in-depth, one-year program designed to strengthen Industry collaboration and knowledge of the Coast Guard’s mission. Programming includes a multi-state, hands-on, immersive tour of installations, representing diverse functions of the Coast Guard across the United States. It is organized by the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable.
The 2017 – 2018 class of the Coast Guard Industry Academy is limited to 50 senior industry executives who maintain a broad organizational authority and comprehensive industry knowledge, and are able to disseminate Coast Guard information back across their organizations.
“The United States Coast Guard has an incredibly complex mission set. We are delighted to partner with them to increase Industry’s understanding of the mission, and deepen advocacy for the U.S. Coast Guard,” said Kay Olive, WHSR Director.
“This is a golden opportunity to take an inside look at the multiple missions, operations and challenges that face one of our most important federal clients, and use that information to deliver reliable, relevant, and proven design,” said Huffstetler.
Huffstetler has 30 years of experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry, and has served in a variety of leadership roles in multiple sectors. Beginning his career in 1987, he served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force as a civil engineering officer and architect. He currently serves as the National Director for all of LEO A DALY’s program efforts serving the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), focusing on business development and partnerships with USCG, CBP, USSS, FLETC, TSA, and FEMA.
