Ted E. Redmond, AIA, Joins LEO A DALY Minneapolis as Vice President and Managing Principal>
MINNEAPOLIS – July 23, 2010) Ted E. Redmond, AIA, joins international architecture, planning, engineering, interior design and program management firm LEO A DALY as vice president and managing principal of the firm’s Minneapolis office. Redmond will assume managing LEO A DALY’s Minneapolis office from Chuck Ault, who will serve as a vice president and director of engineering of the office.
Redmond has more than 18 years of experience working in senior leadership roles for various architecture/engineering firms in Minnesota. Prior to joining LEO A DALY, Redmond worked for the BKV Group in Minneapolis for more than 10 years, where he served as an associate and partner and subsequently as the firm’s president. His expertise is in the areas of facilitative leadership, client guidance and corporate management.
Redmond’s diverse background includes serving a number of local, county and state government clients in Minnesota and throughout the country, including the Department of Human Services, Department of Military Affairs and Department of Corrections. He has provided architecture, project design and project management services for various types of facilities such as justice, correctional, administrative, public works, military, educational, recreational and community projects.

Notable among Redmond’s projects in Minnesota are the Inver Grove Heights City Hall and Public Safety Building, Ramsey City Hall and Police Department, Freeborn County Government Center, State of Minnesota Department of Human Services Forensic Facility, Scott County Regional Public Safety Training Academy, State of Minnesota Department of Military Affairs Headquarters and Joint Armed Forces Headquarters, Minnesota Army National Guard Faribault Readiness Center, The Murals at Lyn-Lake Apartments and the Bankers Systems Corporate Headquarters.
Redmond received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from University of Detroit Mercy, Mich., and is a registered architect in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Texas, Illinois and Iowa. He also is NCARB Certified and is a member of several national organizations including the American Institute of Architects, National Sheriff’s Association, American Jail Association and National Fire Protection Association.
Redmond also is involved in a number of local community organizations. He served as the chair of the Whittier Community Issues Committee and is a volunteer of the Boys and Girls Club of The Twin Cities.
